It is called “The Milk of Dreams”. It is inspired by the Venice Biennale 2022 mentorship project designed by Sissy Vian, Creative Fashion Director of Harper’s Bazaar Italia and Stylist known worldwide for her work with the world’s greatest photographers for Vogue Italia and Vogue Japan, for the students of the Fashion Styling Master's programme at the Istituto Marangoni Milano Fashion School.

The project, launched by Vian in November, expects the students to rethink the slip dress, a wardrobe classic reinvented in a thousand different ways over the years. Vian asked them to look at it with new eyes, and rethink it according to their culture and personality. 

A perfect opportunity for students to show their creativity and learn to think outside the box, but also to understand how to structure a styling job followed step by step by an expert. All participants could present the first steps of their work to Sissy Vian during a mid-review appointment, receiving her feedback and valuable advice to hone their projects before the final delivery.

«The level of work is quite remarkable, they have worked hard, and you can see it with really interesting iconographic research», Sissy Vian commented. «The advice I would give is to learn to interpret all the stimuli they have and learn to translate them into fashion language.»
