A-maze-ing forecast: the ultimate guide to f-w 22/23 trends

As part of her end-of-year project, Nina Clements, a second-year Fashion Styling & Creative Direction student, imagined her own magazine, called 'Pulse - Modern Love', and therefore created a pilot issue. Keeping the eye of a trend forecaster, she analysed the trends for the upcoming f-w 2022/23 season. Here you can find her ultimate guide to everything you need to know to keep up with fashion trends well after the summer.

A Clockwork Orange

For the upcoming f-w 2022/23 season we are seeing an immense amount of bold and eye-catching colours, especially bright orange. This seems to be a sign of the times as we hope to emerge from a global pandemic and make an extravagant statement.

Transparency & Sheerness

Being naked is now all the rage, and we are absolutely here for it. Sheer fabrics have taken over not just the catwalks but also the streets as fashion dips further into the sexy pool and experiments with full exposure.

BDSM & Bondage

Next cold season's runways have been rolling out the deepest and darkest desires of our fellow fashionphilies, as the catwalks are braced with chains, ropes, leather, and latex abound. The BDSM and bondage trend is thriving, sporting dominance and devotion.

Duvet Dressing

Who says fashion can't be comfortable? Models have been strutting down the catwalks completely covered in puffers as a form of 'duvet dressing'. Autumn-Winter 2022/23 is reshaping and reimagining the winter wardrobe and silhouette to prepare for the cold weather.
