This course is structured over 4 weeks:
Week 1 – 20 hours
Introduction to pattern making; how to take accurate body measurements and use them to draft foundational patterns; garment structure, proportions, and fit.
Week 2 – 20 hours
Focus on draping; advanced and creative draping, focusing on both structured and fluid silhouettes; master three-dimensional draping on the stand; work with volume, asymmetry, and deconstruction to explore innovative silhouette construction.
Week 3 – 20 hours
Fundamentals of sewing, including hand stitching and machine sewing; basic garment components (seams, hems, zippers, darts etc); finishing techniques
Week 4 – 15 hours
Creation of a complete garment, starting from pattern drafting and draping to final sewing; teacher review and feedback session
Classes are scheduled as follows:
– Sunday to Thursday: one evening class per day (6:00–9:00 PM)
– Saturday: two classes (10:00 AM–3:00 PM)
