Four top-notch professionals share their expertise with Master’s students in the exclusive Masterclasses

After the success of the past editions featuring Gilda Ambrosio • I’M Alumna, Fashion Icon, founder and co-designer of The Attico; Riccardo Grassi • CEO of his eponymous showroom, Entrepreneur and Buyer and Massimo Giorgetti • Founder & Creative Director of MSGM, Istituto Marangoni Milano • The School of Fashion expands its educational offer with four new Mentorship Programmes. Students in the areas of Fashion Design and Fashion Styling for the year 2022-2023 will be supported by Walter Chiapponi, Creative Director at Tod's, Sissy Vian, Fashion Editor of Harper's Bazaar Italia, Alessandro Dell'Acqua, Founder and Creative Director of N°21 and Alessio Vannetti, Valentino's Chief Brand Officer.

Fashion Design Master's students will work on a New Artisanal Aesthetic, a design project by Walter Chiapponi, to explore the values of Italian craftsmanship.
Alessandro Dell'Acqua, on the other hand, will take the young designers of Istituto Marangoni Milano on a journey to investigate the aesthetics of Italian neorealism, entitled “Neorealism 21”. Both experiences will lead to the creation of a capsule collection.
Sissy Vian will guide aspiring stylists in a visual research project inspired by The Milk of Dreams, the theme of the 2022 Venice Biennale, which will take the form of a professional photo shoot.
Finally, Alessio Vannetti will guide the students of the Fashion & Luxury Brand Management Master’s programme as they deal with market analysis and brand strategy methods.

These new I’M Mentors Projects confirm the synergy between Istituto Marangoni Milano and the fashion industry, placing a case-oriented approach at the heart of students’ learning experience.
